So this
week was pretty good I’m not going to lie! We revisited a family that finally
decided to progress. They are my favorite! It’s the family that has a person
who has to sign. I totally learned the alphabet and a lot of other words from
him this week! I feel so cool. It comes really easy probably because I don’t
have to conjugate anything.
People
continue to stare. I have no idea
why! I’m pretty sure they’ve seen someone like me at least once!
Overall
I’ve been mainly doing the usual stuff! I found a tienda (store) that sells
mandarinas (I’m sure you can know what that is) for SO cheap so every time
before we go home I usually grab one of those. I say it’s cheap because they
are absolutely HUGE and I pay like a peso for each.
The
language just got so much easier for me and I can feel the help from God. Today
was actually really interesting because our rooms are finally done and we moved
into them. It was really fun trying to find a spot for our nails for our lines
for clothes. I was a genius in our room and I made 2 very long lines and they
aren’t in the way of anything.
The Nuevo Casa
OH I
remember something! So this week my left shoulder blade has been hurting really
bad and I don’t know why. So guess what. Me helping the ZL´s paid off and they
put some of Grandpa´s Voodoo cream on there for me . . . . I slept well that
night. For those that don’t know what Gpa´s voodoo cream is it’s basically ice
in a cream that heals things like the next day. nuff said.
Another
habit that I picked up and I’m not really proud of is that I tend to fall
asleep during lessons. I kid you not sometimes I’ll be teaching then I’ll pass
the baton to my companion and then next thing I know I’m being nudged by my
companion. I’m just not used to
the schedule yet! I hope.
I finally found an altar for Dia de Muertos so here it
is: So a little
history on this altar you would put things that the person liked to eat for
example you would put for me some Training table cheese fries, some potato
chips and stuff like that for mom and Taylor it would be really easy because
you would just put lots of types of chocolate! haha
In our
whole apartment we have one Mexican (my companion), A Californian, and 2
Utahns. I don’t know what it is but I really make the Californian laugh. A lot! And the same with my Utahn counterpart. So a few lines that
my eagle mountain friend (Utahn) says all the time. "Are you spreading
what I just pulled out of the jar?" "Are you smelling what I
just stepped in?" "Are you scoopin what I´m poopin?" stuff like
that I’ll update you on what’s going down if I remember.
So we
were teaching an investigator this week and it was outside in front of a park.
So this guy walks up to this bush really close to us and I thought "he’s
totally looking for drugs" and then I thought what are you thinking! He’s
probably not. But then he said "Sorry I forgot where I put my marijuana"
sometimes your right.
Well I
love each and every one of you guys. My spiritual thought this week coincides
with 3 Nephi 11 in general I know it’s pretty long but here it is. So something
to think about, Jesus Christ descended amongst the people of Nephi. Not on a
mountain or above the temple where he could preach. He was among them. And He
let EVERY SINGLE PERSON see the scars in his hands and his feet. How does this
apply? Well for us he is patiently waiting for us to get a testimony of him everyone
has a chance to get it. Not a few not the chosen but everyone has the chance.
and I have an invitation to everyone. If you haven’t already see and feel the
scars of Christ. He has his arms outstretched for every single person and it’s
time you do if you haven’t already
LOVE
YOU CHURCH IS TRUE!!!! :D
