So this week has been a little interesting. my companion and I are
having a little bit of a competition to see who can get the most contacts. I
didn't do very good but I plan on improving! The language has been a bigger
obstacle than I thought it would and I'm going to be waking up earlier to start
studying a bit more. So this week on interesting foods eaten by Elder Nisson.
So it turns out that what I thought was green beans was cactus . . . .
Just let that sink in. It's not bad I won't complain. The people here are
suprised that I can handle spicier foods. Elder McCubbins and I are Utah people
that can handle picante. But he more than me because before he would eat sushi
with lots and lots of wasabi. He's absolutely crazy.

Also I ate some crickets
the other day. And I was surprised to find out they tasted really good! When
they're backed and stuff. So the most interesting thing that happened this week
was this. So we're eating at a members house and then it came time to leave. So
there is this dog on the roof that we try to trick when we leave. It always
barks at as and it's always funny to see him all confused. So we pretended we
were running really fast and then we hid under the overhang for a second and
then sprinted. We made it outside and then this other dog CAME OUT OF NOWHERE!!
and bit my leg and tore up my favorite pair of pants. Like what the heck. Sorry
coach I didn't have my head on a swivel but in my defense this dog wasn't even
supposed to be there in the first place and well you had to be there. I got it
cleaned out with soap and water and then with some alcohol at the doctor's. The
bishop here is a doctor so it was really easy to get a hold of him and to
understand. I have to watch the dog for the next 5 days and if it dies then I
got rabies. I also need to get the form of vaccinations from the owner to see
if I'm in danger of anything but I'm not too worried. Well kinda I heard the
needle for rabies is pretty big. But I'm pretty sure God said sorry when later
we visited a member's house and she gave me some milk. I ran out that morning!
She even said she didn't know why she got it.
So I got bit by
a dog so that's nice
We set up a time for a new house
finally. I was getting tired of having to duck everytime I went through any
kind of door! haha but it's whatever really I invested in some tuna today and
hopefully I'll be buffer when I get back haha tuna is protein rich compared to
everything else here.
This thing I had to lug over to our apartment. Only drinking water.
This is hard work but it's good work. In my scripture study I found
in 1 Nephi 17 he and his family suffered afflictions and hard times FOR 8
YEARS. And yet he didn't complain. Wow I wish I could be more like him because
I've complained a lot! haha but With this inspiration hopefully I'll have a
renewed effort to work hard and I hope that you guys will too. I know that if
we follow the commandments we will find happiness amidst the afflictions and I
know also that above all there will always be a person who understands us
better than we understand ourselves. CHURCH IS TRUE!!
